Representative Alice Hausman, Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building. The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was not present.

H.F. 1371 (Murphy, M.) - relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for North Shore Express Intercity Rail Initiative; authorizing sale and issuance of state bonds.

Rep. Murphy moved that HF 1371 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Scalze moved to amend HF 418 as follows:
Page 1, line 10, delete "a feasibility study of transit and transportation needs in" and insert "predesign and preliminary engineering for"

Rep. Dean moved to amend HF 959, see attached delete everything amendment, A07-0205. MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

appropriating money for the Central Corridor Transit Way.

H.F. 1216 (Simon) - relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a draft EIS and
preliminary engineering for the Southwest transitway corridor; authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds.

Rep. Berns moved that HF 1216 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Peterson moved that HF 581 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Peterson moved to amend HF 581, see the attached delete everything amendment, H0581DE1. MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED
