MEETING MINUTES


Representative Nora Slawik, Chair, called the third meeting to order at 4:01 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2007 in Room 200 of the State Office Building. No quorum present.

Quorum was reached at 4:03 p.m.

Representative Gottwalt was excused.


Representative Wardlow moved to approve minutes from Tuesday, January 16, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Arthur Reynolds, Professor of Child Development and Fellow of the Center for Early Education and Development, University of Minnesota.
Testified on his research on the importance of early childhood learning programs.

Art Rolnick, Senior Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
Testified on the economic benefits of early childhood learning.

Rob Grunewald, Associate Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
Testified on Minnesota Early Learning Foundation (MELF).

Meeting was adjourned at 5:29 p.m.
