Chair Hansen called the meeting to order at 3:09 P.M. on December 19, 2007 in the State Office Building.

John Jaschke, Executive Director, Board of Soil and Water Resources, testified on the progress of a various reports and programs, including the feedlot needs assessment report, the requirement that BWSR oversee the effectiveness of local water management authorities, the RIM Clean Energy Technical Committee Progress Report, BWSR's use of APO authority, flood relief activities in southeast Minnesota, wetland mitigation strategies, new programs underway, native buffer cost-share, expiring CRP contracts, and a preview of BWSR's RIM Reserve bonding request.
Len Price, Executive Director of Minnesota Conservation Corps, testified on MCC's partnership with BWSR on Clean Water Legacy and flood relief activities.
Tim Koehler of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service gave an update on the federal Farm Bill and conservation in Minnesota.
