MINUTES


Representative Gene Pelowski, Chair of the Governmental Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 7:34 A.M. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Morgan moved that the minutes of March 20, 2007, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A bill for an act relating to state government; establishing Preservation of State Documents Act; etc.

Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 176 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

Chairman Pelowski moved to amend HF 176 (see attached H0176DE2 amendment).
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

A bill for an act relating to state government; ratifying certain labor agreements and compensation plans.

Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 1598 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

A bill for an act relating to state government; compensating state employees for time they were not able to work due to the 2005 partial government shutdown.

Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 333 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

Chairman Pelowski moved to amend HF 1336 First Engrossment (see attached H1336A2 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

recommendations for inspectors to the commissioner;"

Representative Brod requested a division on the motion. There were 8 in favor and 6 opposed, THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Nelson renewed his motion that HF 1190 First Engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A bill for an act relating to state employees; streamlining the registration process for organizations to participate in the state employee combined charities campaign; etc.

Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 1957 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.
