Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:55 P.M. on, Friday, March 9, 2007 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Emmer moved that the minutes of March 8, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Huntley moved that HF736 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Consent Calendar.

HF736 (Huntley) Ambulance service personnel longevity award and incentive program renamed
the Cooper/Sams volunteer ambulance program.

Providing testimony on behalf of the bill:

O.J. Doyle, Minnesota Ambulance Association

Rep. Huntley renewed his motion that HF736 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Consent Calendar. MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Thao moved that HF707 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

HF707 (Thao) Dental access for persons with disabilities study required.

Chair Thissen renewed his motion that HF1623 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Ruud moved that HF1074 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.

HF1074 (Ruud) Darlene Luther Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act adopted.

Rep. Huntley renewed his motion that HF655 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Civil Justice.

Division was requested. On a vote of 8 AYES and 6 NAYS THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Page 1 delete subdivision 5, insert: "Subd. 5. Decedent. "Decedent" means a deceased individual and includes a stillborn infant or an embryo or fetus that has died of natural causes in

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Ruud renewed her motion that HF1074 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
