MINUTES


Representative Neva Walker, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:05 A.M. on Friday, March 9, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Anderson moved that the minutes of February 23, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Walker moved that HF1067 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services.

HF1067 (Huntley) Governor's mental health initiative

Chair Walker moved the H1067A3 amendment with the following changes:

Page 2, line 5 after "Advisory" insert "Council"

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Greiling moved to amend HF1067 as follows:

Page 3, delete lines 10 - 24

A division was requested.

On a vote of 8 AYES and 4 NAYS THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Greiling moved the A07-0218 amendment. A division was requested.

On a vote of 7 AYES and 5 NAYS THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Walker renewed her motion that HF1067, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:05 A.M.
