Representative Neva Walker, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:05 A.M. on Friday, March 16, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Walker moved that HF1590 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services.

HF1590 (Brynaert) authorizing a Regional Children's Mental Health Initiative pilot project;
developing an enhanced regional children's mental health service system

Providing testimony on the bill:

Chair Walker renewed her motion that HF1590 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Otremba moved that HF794 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services.

HF794 (Otremba) modifying medical assistance coverage to include consultations with psychologists; increasing the medical assistance reimbursement rate for critical access mental health services

Providing testimony on the bill:

Dr. Steven Vincent, Psychologist
Willie Garrett, Licensed Psychologist

Rep. Otremba renewed her motion that HF794 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Walker moved that HF913 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services.

HF913 (Thissen) waiving the moratorium regarding beds and expending group residential housing supplemental rates
