PUBLIC SAFETY AND CIVIL JUSTICE POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative Mullery, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:33 P.M. on, Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

I. Representative Bigham moved that the minutes of January 18, 2007, be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.
II. Staff from the Department of Corrections presented information and answered questions by members about the Department's probation and re-entry programs, both within and outside their facilities.
Testifying were:
- Gary Johnson, Director, Re-entry Services Programs
- Tim Lanz, Manager, Re-entry Facilities
- Dennis Benson, Deputy Commissioner, Institutions
- Harley Nelson, Deputy Commissioner
III. Craig Vos, Program Manager, Hennepin County Community Corrections, presented information and answered questions by committee members about various probationary and re-entry programs at the county level.
The meeting was adjourned at 2 P.M.
