MINUTES


Representative Ann Lenczewski, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:35 A.M. on January 21st, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Solberg moved HF95 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

HF95 (Lenczewski) Health Insurance premium credit created.

Individuals testifying before the committee were: Pat Dalton, House Research; Nancy Schouweiler, Dakota County Commissioner; Keith Carlson, Minnesota Inter County Association; Judith Brumfield, Deputy Director of Human Services, Scott County; Dan Papin, Director of Community Services, Washington County; Kelly Harder, Director of Community Services, Steele County; Paul Fleissner, Social Services Director, Olmstead County; Mary Wellik, Public Health Director, Olmstead County; Jim Mulder, Executive Director, Association of Minnesota Counties; Elaine Keefe, MN Libraries Assn; Ward Einess, Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Revenue.

Representative Davids moved amendment H0095A1. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Representative Solberg renewed his motion that HF95 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED. HF95 WAS PASSED AND RE-REFERRED TO THE COMMITTEE ON WAYS AND MEANS.

The committee adjourned at 12:01 PM.
