MINUTES

Representative Juhnke, Chair of Committee on Agriculture, Rural Economies and Veterans Affairs Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 10:37 AM on March 9th, 2010 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Brown moves that the minutes from March 3, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.
Representative Juhnke moved that HF 3057 (Davids) Fillmore County; veterans cemetery funding provided; be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
Representative Davids presented HF 3057. Discussion and questions followed. HF 3057 was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
Representative Juhnke moved that HF 3180 (Welti); be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
Representative Welti presented HF 3180. Discussion and questions followed. HF 3180 was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
Representative Hamilton moved that HF 3113 (Hamilton) be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Hamilton moved to amend HF 3113, as follows:
Page 1, line 1.7, delete"2012" and insert "2011"

THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hamilton and Kathleen Vitalis (Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans) presented the HF 3113 as amended. Discussion and questions followed.

HF 3113 (Hamilton) as amended was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Doty moved HF3101 (Doty) Minnesota "Support our Troops" account eligible money use expanded; be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Doty and Mike Pugliese (Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs) provided testimony on the bill.

HF3103 was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:35 AM.
