MINUTES


Representative Tom Rukavina, Chair of the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 5:55 P.M. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Rukavina moved that HF 2657 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Finance Committee.

Representative Rukavina presented HF 2657as amended, relating to higher education; increasing the revenue bond limit of the higher education facilities authority.

Representative McFarlane moved that HF 3495 be recommended to pass and be held over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative McFarlane moved to amend HF 3495 with the delete everything amendment H3495DE1. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative McFarlane presented HF 3495 as amended, relating to higher education; authorizing data matching; modifying institution eligibility; establishing award procedures; establishing scholarship priorities; establishing powers and duties; providing for refunds; defining terms; making technical corrections.
