HEALTH CARE AND HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE DIVISION

Chair Thomas Huntley called the forty-third meeting of the Health Care and Human Services Finance Division to order at 1:29 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The committee legislative assistant noted the roll:

Representative Hosch moved approval of the January 25 and February 9, 2010 minutes. The motion prevailed.

Representative Thissen moved HF 2562 (the first engrossment) be recommended for possible inclusion in the supplemental budget bill and further moved the H2562DE2 amendment with the following incorporated language:

line 5.7, delete " $67,000" and insert "$110,000"

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Thissen explained the bill and changed his motion as follows:

That HF 2562, the first engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass and returned to the Committee on Finance. The motion prevailed.

Representative Fritz moved HF 453 and explained the bill. She then further moved adoption of the H0453A3 amendment. The motion prevailed. Testifying in favor of the bill were:

Discussion followed. Representative Fritz renewed her motion that HF 453, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Care and Human Services Finance Supplemental Budget bill.

Chair Huntley adjourned the meeting at 2:35 p.m.
