MINUTES


Representative Mary Murphy, Chair, called the sixth meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Murphy called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

A quorum was present.

Chair Murphy announced the homework assignment for committee members and members of the public.

Representative Eken moved that the minutes of February 4, 2009 be adopted
THE MOTION PREVAILED

Mike Roelofs, Executive Budget Coordinator with Minnesota Management and Budget, testified to Governor Pawlenty’s recommendations for the 2010-2011 budget.

Abigail Read, Executive Budget Officer with Minnesota Management and Budget, testified to Governor Pawlenty’s recommendations for agencies in the 2010-2011 budget.

Ryan Baumtrog, Executive Budget Officer with Minnesota Management and Budget, testified to Governor Pawlenty’s recommendations for agencies in the 2010-2011 budget.

Mr. Roelofs answered questions from the committee.

Mr. Baumtrog answered questions from the committee.

Mike Salzwedel, Executive Budget Officer with Minnesota Management and Budget, testified to Governor Pawlenty’s recommendations for constitutional amendment monies in the 2010-2011 budget.

Mr. Salzwedel answered questions from the committee.

Mr. Roelofs answered questions from the committee.

Bob Meier of Saint Paul, Assistant Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, testified to the recommendations for the Parks and Trails Fund.

Rebecca Flood of Saint Paul, Assistant Commissioner for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, testified to the Governor’s Clean Water Cabinet.

Chuck Wocken of Waite Park, Park Director with the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks, testified to the role of the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails.

Mr. Wocken answered questions from the committee.

Laird Mork of North Branch, Park Director with the County Parks Association, testified to the role of the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails.

Mark Muttice of Buffalo, Parks Administrator with Greater Minnesota Regional Parks, testified to the role of the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails.

Rick Anderson of Garvin, Park Manager for Greater Minnesota Regional Parks, testified to the role of the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
