Representative Lieder, Chair of the House Transportation Finance & Policy Division called the meeting to order at 4:33 P.M. on Thursday, February 26, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

HF660 (Morrow) Railroad track rehabilitation funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Rep. Morrow moved that HF660 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Capital Investments bonding bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Commissioner Peter McLauglin of Hennepin County shared the Counties Transit Improvement Board 2009 Legislative Proposal.

HF391 (Kalin) Rush Line Corridor funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated. The following assisted in presenting the bill:

Commissioner Victoria Reinhardt, Ramsey County
Commissioner Mike Robinson, Chisago County

Representative Lieder moved that HF391 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Capital Investments bonding bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF833 (McFarlane) Rush Line Corridor Transit Way funding provided, bonds issued, money appropriated. The following assisted in presenting the bill:

Commissioner Victoria Reinhardt, Ramsey County
Commissioner Mike Robinson, Chisago County
Bryan Belisle, White Bear Lake City Council

Rep. Morrow moved the following oral amendment:

On page 1, line 9, delete "I-35W" and insert: "I-35"

THE MOTION PREVAILED. Rep. Morrow moved that HF833 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Capital Investments bonding bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF383 (Simon) Southwest Transit Way Corridor environmental impact statement and preliminary engineering funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated. The following assisting in presenting the bill:

Katie Walker, Southwest Corridor Project Director

Representative Hornstein moved the H0383A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Rep. Lieder moved that HF383, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Capital Investments bonding bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF637 (Hortman) Bottineau Transit Way Corridor environmental review funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated. Brent Rusco, Bottineau Transitway Study Manager, Hennepin County, assisted in presenting the bill. Rep. Hortman moved that HF637 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Capital Investments bonding bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF960 (Masin) Dakota County; Cedar Avenue Bus Rapid Transit Way funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated. Barry Tilley, Dakota County Board of Commissioners, assisted in presenting the bill. Rep. Masin moved the following verbal amendment:

Page 1, line 13, delete "$1,200,000" and insert: "$12,000,000"

THE MOTION PREVAILED. Rep. Masin moved that HF960, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Capital Investments bonding bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Hornstein moved the Transportation/Transit Division report on HF85 (Junke), the bill was recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance. Rep. Lieder moved that HF85 be recommended to pass and rereferred to the Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Holberg moved the minutes of February 17 and 24, 2009. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
