AGRICULTURE, RURAL ECONOMIES AND VETERANS AFFAIRS COMMITTEE


MINUTES


Representative Otremba, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:54 P.M. on January 21, 2009, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.


Ms. Cecile Ferkul, Deputy Legislative Auditor and Brad White, Audit Manager with the Legislative Auditor Office presented their report on the Department of Agriculture.

Ms. Quinn Cheney, Legislative Director and Steve Ernese, Financial Management Director with the Department of Agriculture responded to the report from the Legislative Auditors office and presented an overview on their department to the committee.

Ms. Christine Kiel, Legislative Director and Milt Schoen, Legislative Chair, Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers with the Department of Veteran Affairs provided a brief over on the department. Ms. Kiel answered questions of the committee.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:15 P.M.
