MINUTES


Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Division, called the ninth meeting to order at 10:38 A .M. on, March 13, 2009, in the 200 hearing room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davnie called the meeting to order at 10:38 A.M. A quorum was present.


Representative Davnie moved approval of HF908 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.


HF908 (Urdahl) Shared work employer plans extended by one year.


Testimony was given by:

Representative Davnie renewed his motion that HF908 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.


Representative Mahoney moved approval of HF927 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.


HF927 (Mahoney) Construction codes and licensing modified, high pressure piping profession provisions added, appropriations restrictions modified, authority to adopt rules for obtaining boiler licenses extended.



Representative Mahoney moved approval of amendment A.
The amendment was adopted.

Representative Mahoney moved approval of amendment 08. .
The amendment was adopted.


Representative Mahoney renewed his motion that HF927 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.



Representative Lillie moved approval of HF578 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.


HF578 (Hortman) Building and construction contracts and indemnification agreements regulated.

Representative Davnie moved approval of HF528 be recommended to pass and sent to the Commerce and Labor committee.


HF528 (Davnie) Reverse mortgage requirement eliminated, counseling by an independent housing agency mandated, lender default regulated, liability imposed on a subsequent purchaser of a reverse mortgage, right of recission provided, and suitability defined.
