MINUTES


Representative David Dill, Chair of the Game, Fish and Forestry Division, called the meeting to order at 4:44 PM, on March 1, 2010, in the Basement of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Murdock moved that the minutes from February 22, 2010 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Cornish moved HF 3126 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Game and Fish Bill.

HF3126-Cornish Deer, moose, and elk stand height restrictions removed

The following people provided testimony on HF 3126:

Representative Cornish renewed his motion that HF3126 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Game and Fish Bill.

Representative Hackbarth moved that HF 1146 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Game and Fish Bill.

Public walk-in access program on private property established, and money appropriated

Representative Hackbarth moved the H1146A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Congress memorialized to effect change in U.S. Coast Guard law relating to fishing guides.

Chair Dill renewed the motion that HF3162 be recommended to pass to the Committee on Environment Policy and Oversight. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Dill moved HF3202 be heard and laid over for inclusion in HF2954.

Intermediate auction timber sale provisions modified

General burning permits provided, forestry service fees establishment authority modified, timber sales provisions modified, and certain pilot projects and reports eliminated.

Chair Dill moved the H2954A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Dill offered the following oral amendment:
Amend HF3202 into HF 2954
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Dill renewed his motion that HF 2954 be passed, as amended, and referred to the Committee on Environment Policy and Oversight. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
