MINUTES


Representative Mahoney, Chair of the Bioscience and Workforce Development Policy and Oversight Division called the twentieth meeting to order at 10:35 A.M. on March 24, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Haws moved approval of the Minutes from the March 18, 2009 meeting.
MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

Representative Mahoney moved HF908 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Policy and Finance Division.

Representative Mahoney moved to amend HF908 as follows: See Amendment H0908A3.

Representative Mahoney welcomed 12th graders from Princeton High School.

Representative Urdahl presented HF1029, as amended, a bill relating to

unemployment insurance; providing for a shared work plan

Representative Mahoney renewed his motion that HF908 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Policy and Finance Division.
MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Norton moved HF1785 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Policy and Finance Division.

Representative Norton presented HF1785, a bill relating to

economic development; requiring accountability measures and reports as a condition for receiving state funds

Representative Poppe moved to amend HF1785 as follows: See Amendment H1785A1
AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.
