MINUTES

Representative Westrom, Chair of the Civil Law Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:36 PM on February 28, 2011 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

No members were excused.

A quorum was present.

Representative Scott moved to approve the minutes from February 23, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 501 (Runbeck) Interest arbitration factors specified.

Representative Runbeck moved that HF 501 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.

Representative Runbeck moved to adopt the H0501A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The committee heard testimony on HF501, as amended:

Vice Chair Drazkowski assumed the gavel at 2:07 P.M.
Chair Westrom reassumed the gavel at 2:10 P.M.

Representative Hilstrom moved to amend the motion that HF 501 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register to a motion that HF 501, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.

Representative Hilstrom requested a roll call vote. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.
