MINUTES

Representative Garofalo, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m. on February 22, 2012, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Greiling moved that the minutes of February 15, 2012 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Loon moved that the minutes of February 21, 2012 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1586 (McDonald) Motorcycle safety education program fund allocation provisions modified.

Representative McDonald presented HF1586.

Representative Garofalo moved HF1586 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Transportation.

Representative Garofalo moved an oral amendment to HF1586.
Page 2, line 2.9 replace "2011" with "2012".
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Downey moved HF269 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Downey moved an oral amendment to HF269.
Page 1, line 1.19-1.20: strike "as required for collective bargaining agreements under section 123B.05, subdivision 2,"
Page 1, line 3.8-3.9: strike "as required for collective bargaining agreements under section 123B.05, subdivision 2,"

Representative Garofalo adjourned the meeting at 2:25 p.m.
