MINUTES

Representative Nornes, Chair of the Higher Education Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:36 PM on March 6, 2012 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 2322 (S. Anderson) Mandatory health care coverage expansion waiver required.

Testifying:

A quorum was present.

Representative Benson moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 1, 2012 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dettmer moved that HF 2322 be heard and considered for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Omnibus bill.

The committee heard testimony of HF 2322.

Chair Nornes moved that HF 2322 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Omnibus Bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dettmer assumed the gavel at 1:22 PM.

HF 2065 (Nornes) Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State colleges and Universities Board revenue bond debt ceiling increased.

Representative Nornes moved that HF 2065 be heard and considered for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Omnibus bill.

Representative Dettmer moved that HF 2065 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Higher Education Omnibus Bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee heard testimony from the University of Minnesota on paid leave and severance pay.
