PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIME PREVENTION POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Hilty called the fifty-fifth meeting to order at 10:19 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Gauthier moved that the minutes of March 15, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2041 (Abeler) Dental licensing provision changes made. Testimony on HF2041 will be to the criminal history records check provisions in Section 5.

Representative Hilty moved that HF2041 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF2041.

Representative Hilty renewed his motion that HF2041 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chairman Cornish assumed the gavel at 10:24 a.m.

HF2836 (Lohmer) Interstate highway emergency response account established, interstate emergency response reimbursement program created, Department of Revenue report required, and money appropriated. Testimony on HF2836 will be to the DE1 amendment.

Representative McDonald moved that HF2836 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee.

Representative McDonald moved the H2836DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative McDonald moved to orally amend the HF2836DE1 amendment: delete Section 2, lines 1.23-2.11. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.


The committee heard testimony on HF2836, as amended.

Representative McDonald moved to reconsider his oral amendment to HF2836DE1 to: delete Section 2, lines 1.23-2.11. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative McDonald moved to orally amend the HF2836DE1 amendment: delete "the commissioner of revenue, in consultation with" in Section 2, line 1.25 and delete Section 2, paragraph (b), lines 2.9-2.11. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative McDonald renewed his motion that HF2836, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:14 a.m.
