MINUTES

Representative Lesch, Chair of Committee on Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:25 AM, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in the Basement of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Liebling moved to approve March 14, 2014 minutes. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

HF1971 (Liebling) Automatic external defibrillator (AED) registration provided.

Representative Liebling moved to amend HF1971 (See attachment H1971DE1). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Liebling moved to re-refer HF1971 to the General Register.

Representative Liebling presented HF1971.

Representative Liebling moved to re-refer HF2274 to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Development Finance and Policy.

Representative Masin presented HF2274.

Chair Lesch moved to lay over HF2274.

The committee recessed at 10 AM.

The committee reconvened at 6:38 PM.

HF 2722 (Mahoney) Custody and parenting time provisions changes made.

Chair Lesch moved HF2722 to be re-refer to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Policy.

Representative Mahoney presented HF2722.

Chair Lesch renewed his motion to move HF2722 to be re-refer to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Lesch moved to call back HF2274.

Representative Liebling moved an oral amendment to the H2274DE1 amendment as follows:
Page 1, line 11 after the first "employee's" insert "own"
Page 1, line 15, before "consent" insert "written"
Page 1, line 17, after "privilege" insert or protected by law" and delete the "or"
Page 1, line 20 insert "or (4) permit the employee to disclose wage information to a competitor of their employer."
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE ORAL AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Liebling moved the H2274DE1 amendment, as amended, to HF2274. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Liebling renewed the motion to move HF2274, as amended, to be re-referred to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Development Finance and Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2373 (Moran) Pay equity compliance certificates required as a condition for some state contracts, data classified, report required, and money appropriated.

Chair Lesch move to re-refer HF2373 to the Committee on Public Safety and Finance Policy.

Chair Lesch moved to amend HF2373 (See attached H2373A4 and H2373A5). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENTS WERE ADOPTED.

Chair Lech moved to re-refer HF2151 to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Lesch moved to amend HF2151 (See attached H2151DE1). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF2192 (Allen) Termination of lease upon infirmity provided.

Representative Allen moved to re-refer HF2192 to the General Register.

Representative Allen moved to amend HF2192 as follows:
On line 2.10, before “Either” add the phrase “Upon the death of the tenant or, if there is more than one tenant, upon the death of all tenants,” and change the “E” in “Either” from uppercase to lowercase.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
