MINUTES

Representative Atkins, Chair of the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 4:07 PM on February 5, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present

Rep. Woodard moved that the minutes from the meeting on Jan 23, 2013 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 129 (Sanders) Mortgage foreclosures regulated, and foreclosure consultant definition clarified.

Rep. Sanders moved HF129 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Rep. Sanders moved the H0129DE2 Amendment THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The following people gave testimony on HF129:

Ron Elwood, Legal Aid

Rep. Sanders moved HF129 be recommended to pass, as amended, and re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law. THE MOTIOIN PREVAILED.

The following people gave testimony on the Governor's budget recommendations for the Department of Commerce:

Mike Rothman, Commissioner, Department of Commerce
Tim Janke, CFO, Department of Commerce

The meeting was adjourned at 5:17 PM.
