MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:13 AM, March 6, 2014 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Sawatzky moved that H.F. 2569 be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations

Rep. Sawatzky presented H.F. 2569 (Sawatzky) Educational opportunity for military children interstate compact adopted, and military-connected youth identifier required.

The following people offered testimony on H.F. 2569:

Rep. Sawatzky renews her motion that H.F. 2569 be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Morgan moved that H.F. 2396 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Policy

Rep. Morgan presented H.F. 2396 (Morgan) Military members license processing expedition required for state agencies and professional licensing boards required, temporary licensure provided, and rulemaking authorized.

Rep. Dettmer moved that H.F. 2012 be re-referred to the Committee on General Register

Rep. Dettmer presented H.F.2012 (Dettmer) High school students with disabilities allowed to transfer between schools without affecting their eligibility for varsity competition.

Rep. Dettmer moved to amend H.F. 2012 (see attached amendment H2012A2) THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED
