MINUTES

Representative Nelson, Chair of Committee on Government Operations, called the meeting to order at 10:05am on January 30, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF5, as amended (Atkins) Minnesota Insurance marketplace established, powers and duties prescribed, legislative appointments provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that HF5, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Representative Kahn moved to amend HF5, as amended. (See attached amendment H0005A24).

Representative Kahn requested to divide the amendment H0005A24 between lines 1.4 and 1.5.

Representative Kahn renewed the motion to amend HF5, as amended (See attached amendment H0005A24, lines 1.5 through 1.6). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Kahn moved to withdraw the remainder of the amendment.

Chair Nelson moved to amend HF5, as amended (See attached amendment H0005A22)

Chair Nelson moved to amend amendment H0005A22 (See attached amendment H0005A38) THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson renewed the motion to amend HF5, as amended (See attached amendment H0005A22, as amended).

Representative Peppin requested a roll call vote on the motion.

Representative Peppin withdrew the request for a roll call vote.
