MINUTES

Representative Sheldon Johnson, Chair of the Labor, Workplace, and Regulated Industries Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16 A.M. on March 6, 2014, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Sundin moved that the minutes of March 5, 2014 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2285 (Lillie) Labor agreements and compensation plans ratified.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 2285 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs.

Chair Johnson moved the H2285A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 2285, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2366 (Rosenthal) Unemployment benefits eligibility modified when applicant is a victim of sexual assault or stalking.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 2366 be re-referred to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Development Finance and Policy.

Chair Johnson moved the H2366A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 2615 (Simonson) Broadband service expansion to underserved areas grant program established, and money appropriated.

Representative Simonson moved that HF 2615 be re-referred to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Development Finance and Policy.

Representative Simonson moved the H2615A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
