MINUTES

Representative Kahn, Chair of the Legacy Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:20 P.M. on April 8, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Wagenius moved that HF641-1 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Legacy bill and gave an overview of the bill.

Chair Kahn moved the H0641A11 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Wagenius moved the H0641A12 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying against lines 16.3 to lines 16.8 of HF641-1:

Vicki Oakes - Community Development Coordinator, City of Ortonville
Steve Berkner – Mayor, City of Ortonville
Bill LaFond – Business Development Manager, Strata Corporation
Jason Kirwin – President, Environmental Scientific, appearing on behalf of Strata Corporation
Jim Aiken – Vice President, Barr Engineering, appearing on behalf of the Strata Corporation

Representative Falk responded to questions about his language on lines 16.3 to lines 16.8 of HF641-1.

Chair Kahn laid over HF641-1, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Legacy bill.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:21 P.M.
