MINUTES

Representative Paymar, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:06 a.m. February 26, 2013 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Lohmer moved that the minutes of the February 21, 2013 and February 21, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

H.F. 389 (Lesch) Collection of 911 fees from prepaid wireless telecommunications services and prepaid wireless E911 services provided for.

Rep. Lesch moved that H.F. 389 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy.

Testifying on behalf of H.F. 389 were:

Nancy Reidel - Verizon
Jackie Meins - Division of Emergency Communications Networks, Department of Public Safety

Rep. Lesch renewed his motion that H.F. 389 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
