MINUTES

Representative Paymar, Chair of Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Simon moved that the minutes of the April 2nd, 2013 meeting be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

H.F. 557 (Carlson) Hennepin County; regional 911 emergency communications center funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Rep. Simon moved that H.F. 557 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Capital Investment.

Testifying on behalf of H.F. 557 were:
Mike Opat - Chair, Hennepin County Board of Commissioners
Captain James Bayer - Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, Communications Division

Rep. Simon renewed his motion that H.F. 557 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Capital Investment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:36 a.m.
