MINUTES

Representative Lenczewski, Chair of Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 1:15 PM April 2 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Atkins presented HF 712 (Atkins) Rental motor vehicle tax revenue deposit modified.

A quorum was present at 1:20 pm.

Representative Simonson moved HF 712

Representative Simonson moved the A13-0364 Amendment.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

HF 712 was laid over for possible inclusion to an Omnibus Tax bill.

Chair Lenczewski moved HF 409

Rep. Norton presented HF 409 (Norton) Medical center development authority established and organization, powers, and duties provided for; medical center development districts provided for; issuance of revenue obligations authorized; city bonds authorized; state assistance authorized; and money appropriated.

Chair Lenczewski made the motion to re-refer HF 409 to the Committee on Capital Investment without recommendation to pass.

The motion prevailed. HF 409 was re-referred to the Committee on Capital Investment.

The Tax Committee went into recess at 2:10 pm.

The Tax Committee reconvened at 6:10 pm.

Representative Garofalo moved HF 1540

Representative McDonald presented HF 1540 (McDonald) Rental motor vehicle tax repealed.

The following individuals testified on HF 1540:

HF 1540 was laid over for possible inclusion to an Omnibus Tax bill.

Chair Lenczewski moved HF 409.

Representative Davids moved the H0409A12 Amendment to HF 409.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Chair Lenczewski made the motion to re-refer HF 409 as amended to the Committee on Capital Investment without recommendation to pass.

The motion prevailed. HF 409 was re-referred as amended to the Committee on Capital Investment.

Representative Davids moved HF 1661

Representative Davids presented HF 1661 (Davids) Multiple points of use certificate and seller sales and use tax exemption provided for.

Representative Dettmer presented HF 62 (Dettmer) Past military service tax credit eligibility modified.

HF 62 was laid over for possible inclusion to an Omnibus Tax bill.

Representative Carlson moved the minutes from March 19.

The minutes from March 19 were approved.
