TRANSPORTATION POLICY COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Erhardt, Chair of the Transportation Policy Committee called the meeting to order on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:23 PM in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Dorholt moved approval of the minutes from the meeting of March 19, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Masin offered an oral amendment to the minutes of the meeting of February 10, 2014, changing “2013” to “2014.” THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Sundin moved the amended minutes of the meeting of February 10, 2014. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Rosenthal presented HF1335, Collision requirements clarified, and terminology change made.

Testifying on HF1335:

-Jared Jordahl, Government Affairs Director, Dept. of Public Safety

Rep. Rosenthal moved to recommend that HF1335 be re-referred to Judiciary Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Erhardt presented HF2149, Interstate Highway 494 rehabilitation work governing requirements established.

Rep. Erhardt moved to recommend that HF2149 be re-referred to the general register.

Rep. Erhardt renewed his motion to recommend that HF2149 be re-referred to the general register. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Erhardt presented HF1796, Work zone speed limits modified.

Rep. Erhardt moved to adopt H1796DE3 (see attached). THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Erhardt moved to recommend that HF1796 be re-referred, as amended, to the Civil Law and Finance committee.

Rep. Runbeck moves to adopt H1796A4 (see attached). THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Chair Masin moved that HF1796 be laid over. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:57 PM.
