TRANSPORTATION POLICY COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Erhardt, Chair of the Transportation Policy Committee called the meeting to order on Friday, March 21st, 2014 at 9:07 AM in room 400S of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Masin moved approval of the minutes of March 19th, 2014. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Chair Erhardt presented HF3219, Metropolitan Airports Commission required to monitor noise to establish a baseline.

Testifying on HF3219:

Rep. Masin moved to recommend that HF3219 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Masin presented HF2881, Railroad employees motor carriers regulation amended.

Rep. Masin moved to amend HF2881 (see H881A1). THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Masin moved to recommend that HF2881, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Rep. Hansen presented HF2628, Rest areas provided to be used as watercraft decontamination sites.

Chair Erhardt moved to recommend that HF2628 be re-referred to Transportation Finance.

Chair Erhardt renewed his motion that HF2628 be re-referred to the Transportation Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILS

Rep. Hansen presented HF2591, State parks and trails license plate established, account created, and money appropriated.

-Luke Skinner, Deputy Director, Parks and Trails, DNR

Chair Erhardt moved to re-refer HF2591 to the Committee on Environment Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

The committee was adjourned at 10:17 AM.
