MINUTES

Representative Jenifer Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:49 p.m. on March 4th, 2015, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Murphy moved the minutes of March 3rd , 2015, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1224 Daniels, Minnesota State Academies for the Deaf and Blind funding provided for technology and operation.
Representative Loon moved HF1224 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Representative Daniels testified on HF1224.

HF1389 Persell, Transportation sparsity formula modified.

Representative Loon moved HF1389 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Representative Percell testified on HF1389.

HF1223 Newton, Independent School District No. 11, Anoka-Hennepin, Secondary Technical Education Program grant funding provided for a fabrication lab; and money appropriated.
Representative Newton moved HF1223 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Representative Newton testified on HF1223.

Nonpartisan staff presented the February 2015 Budget and Economic Forecast update.
The Education Finance Committee was adjourned at 2:27 p.m.
