HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES EIGHTY-NINTH SESSION
EDUCATION INNOVATION POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative Erickson, Chair of the Education Innovation Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17 AM on January 13, 2015, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Erickson called for a recess at 8:19 AM for refreshments.
The meeting reconvened at 8:22 AM.
Education Innovation Policy members and staff briefly introduced themselves. Members then stated their local school district and any legislative goals for the committee.
Committee members discussed and reviewed the meeting’s materials and the committee’s rules.
Lisa Larson from House Research presented background information on the history and development of No Child Left Behind.
Erin Doan and Alex Liuzzi from the Minnesota Board of Teaching introduced themselves.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:52 AM.
