ETHICS COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative Sondra Erickson, Chair of the Ethics Committee, began the meeting at 1:02 PM on June 30, 2015, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 1:02 PM and the meeting was called to order.
Patrick McCormack with House Research gave an introduction and an explanation of the Ethics Committee’s procedure.
Committee Administrator Craig Stone administered an oath to Representative Phyllis Kahn and Representative John Persell.
The Complainants: Representative Kahn, Representative Persell, and Representative Kahn’s Lawyer, Aviva Breen, gave an opening presentation.
Reid LeBeau, Representative Dennis McNamara’s lawyer, questioned the Complainants.
The Committee questioned the Complainants.
Committee Administrator Craig Stone administered an oath to Representative Alice Hausman, Representative Dennis McNamara, and Representative Dennis Smith.
Reid LeBeau, Representative McNamara’s lawyer, gave the Respondents’ opening presentation and questioned Representative McNamara, Representative Smith and Representative Hausman.
The Committee questioned the Respondents.
Representative Kahn gave the Complainants’ closing statements.
Reid LeBeau, Representative McNamara’s lawyer, gave the Respondents’ closing statements.
Joel Michael with House Research further defined the goals and purpose of a “Probable Cause” Ethics Hearing.
Representative Tim Kelly moved to find probable cause.
Chair Sondra Erickson requested a roll call vote. The results were as follows:
