MINUTES

Representative Dean, Chair of the Health and Human Services Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:53pm on March 24th, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Dean began the meeting at 12:53pm, a quorum was NOT present.

There was a quorum at 12:54pm. The meeting was called to order at 12:55pm.

Representative Pierson moved approval of the March 23rd, 2015 minutes. The motion PREVAILED. The minutes were APPROVED.

Representative Lohmer moved that HF 439 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Lohmer moved the A1 amendment. The Motion PREVAILED.

Representative Lohmer; Heather Bradley, President, Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network;
Sandi Holmgren and Mikayla Holmgren, all testified on HF 439, as amended.

Representative Lohmer renewed her motion that HF 439, as amended, be re-referred to the General Register. The Motion PREVAILED.

Representative Halverson moved that HF 980 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Halverson and Barb Turner, COO, ARRM testified on HF 980.

Representative Halverson renewed her motion that HF 980 be re-referred to the General Register. The Motion PREVAILED.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF 1314 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Schomacker and Jeff Ogden, Chief Administrative Officer, School of Dentistry testified on HF 1314.

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF 1314 be re-referred to the General Register. The Motion PREVAILED.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF 921 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Schomacker testified on HF 921.

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF 921 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. The Motion PREVAILED.

Representative Dean moved that HF 1606 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Dean testified on HF 1606.

Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF 1606 be re-referred to the General Register. The Motion PREVAILED.

Dave Greeman, Budget Director, MN Department of Health; Lucinda Jesson, Commissioner, MN Department of Human Services; Anne Barry, Deputy Commissioner, MN Department of Human Services; Nathan Moracco, Assistant Commissioner, MN Department of Human Services, all presented on the Governor's Supplemental HHS Budget Recommendations.





The meeting was adjourned at 2:31pm.

  • HF1314 (Schomacker) - Faculty members and resident dentists permitted to enroll as medical assistance providers.
