MINUTES

Representative Dean, Chair of the Health and Human Services Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:55pm on March 18th, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Dean began the meeting at 12:55pm, a quorum was present. The meeting was called to order at 12:55pm.

Representative Lohmer moved approval of the March 17th, 2015 minutes. The motion PREVAILED. The minutes were APPROVED.

Representative Zerwas moved that HF 1729 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill.

Representative Zerwas and Susan Berry, MD, President, Minnesota Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (MNAAP), presented on HF 1729.

Committee members discussed amendment H1729A1.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion that HF 1729, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Zerwas moved that HF 1053 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill.

Representative Zerwas presented on HF 1053.

Committee members discussed Amendment 1053A1.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion that HF 1053, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Franson moved that HF 1013 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill.

Representative Franson and Jay Jones, MN HomeCare Association, presented on HF 1013.

Committee members discussed amendment H1013A1.

Representative Franson renewed her motion that HF 1013, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Dean moved that HF 1651 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Reform.

Representative Baker; Representative Hertaus; Lexi Reed Holtum, Vice President, Steve Rummler Hope Foundation; Dr. Paul Satterlee, MD, Emergency Medicine Allina Health, Medical Director of Overdose Prevention, Steve Rummler Hope Foundation, all presented on HF 1651.

Committee members discussed amendment H1651DE1.

Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF 1651 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Reform. The motion PREVAILED.
