MINUTES

Representative Mack, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, officially called the meeting to order at 3:06PM on March 15th, 2016, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mack officially called the meeting to order at 3:06PM. A quorum was present.

Representative Albright moved the minutes of March 8th, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2445 (Albright) Osteopathic physician licensure requirements modified.

Representative Albright moved HF2445 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Albright renewed his motion that HF2445 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF978 (Zerwas) Genetic counselors licensed.

Representative Zerwas moved HF978 be re-referred to Committee on Government Operations and Election Policy.

Representative Zerwas moved the H0978A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Testifying in support of HF978 was Joy Larsen Haidle, Minnesota Genetic Counselors Association.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion that HF978, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Election Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2344 (Zerwas) Orthotics, prosthetics, and pedorthics regulated; licensure required; and fees established.

Representative Zerwas moved HF2344 be re-referred to Committee on Government Operations and Election Policy.

Representative Zerwas moved the H2344A3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Testifying in support of HF2344 were Richard Miller, Certified Orthotist and AAOP and Ken Rockford, patient and citizen.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion that HF2344, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Election Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2322 (Peterson) Clinical lactation service licensing created, fees established, and report required.

Representative Peterson moved HF2322 be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections Policy.

Representative Peterson moved the H2322A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Testifying in support of HF2322 was Joanne Wesley, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

Representative Peterson renewed her motion that HF2322, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Election Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Mack adjourned the meeting at 4:38PM .
