HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES REFORM COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Mack, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, officially called the meeting to order at 2:58PM on April 6th, 2016, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mack officially called the meeting to order at 2:58PM. A quorum was present.

Representative Masin moved the minutes of April 5th, 2016 to be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3235 (Backer) Medical assistance payment rates for emergency ambulance services increased.

Representative Backer moved that HF3235 be re-referred to the committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Backer moved the H3235DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENET WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying in support of HF3235 was Buck McAlpin, MN Ambulance Association.

Representative Backer renewed his motion that HF3235, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3305 (Kresha) Child foster care provider training required.

Representative Mack moved that HF3305 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Mack moved the H3305DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying in support of HF3305 was Michael Harris, foster parent, MA, Licensed Psychologist, Director of Counseling and Support, Indian Health Board.

Representative Mack renewed her motion that HF3305 be re-referred, as amended, to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3721 (Dean) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program terminology corrected.

Representative Dean moved that HF3721 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF3721 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Mack adjourned the meeting at 3:15PM.
