MINUTES

Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, began the meeting at 12:45 P.M. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Garofalo called the meeting officially to order at 12:46 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Gunther moved to approve the minutes from the previous hearing. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF65 (Anderson, S.) Small business investment credit increased.

Representative Anderson, S.; Nina Manzi, Legislative Research at the Minnesota House of Representatives; Jeff Nelson, Angel Tax Credit Program Coordinator at the Department of Employment and Economic Development all testified on HF65, as introduced.

Representative Anderson, S. moved the HO65A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Anderson, S. moved that HF65 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. Representative Mahoney requested a roll call vote. The results were as follows:

HF66 (Anderson, S.) Small business investment credit sunset repealed.

Anderson, S. moved that HF66 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Commissioner Mike Rothman, Department of Employment and Economic Development; gave an agency overview and presented the Governor’s budget recommendations.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:33 P.M.
