MINUTES

Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:45 P.M. on Monday, March 2, 2015, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Garofalo called the meeting to order at 12:45 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Gunther moved to approve the minutes from the previous hearing. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Jeremy Hanson-Willis, DEED Deputy Commissioner of Workforce Development; Kimberly Peck, DEED Vocational Rehabilitation Services Director; gave an overview of extended employment.

Henriet Hendriks, House Fiscal Analysis; Anita Neumann, House Research; Kimberly Peck, DEED Vocational Rehabilitation Services Director; gave an overview of the State Vocational and Rehabilitation Services and the Olmstead Plan.

HF1172 (Gunther) Extended employment services for persons with severe disabilities funding provided, and money appropriated. The bill was laid over for possible inclusion.

Steve Ditschler, ProAct; Lisa Parteh, Functional Industries; Clayton Liend, Occupational Development Center; all testified on HF1172, as introduced.

HF682 (Norton) Destination Medical Center; Public Infrastructure definition modified, and local matching contribution clarified.

Representative Norton; Bradley Peterson, City of Rochester; Mark Hughes, Disability Viewpoints; testified on HF682, as introduced.

Representative Garofalo moved that HF682 be recommended to pass and re-referred to Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:11 P.M.
