MINUTES
Representative Hackbarth, Chair of the Mining and Outdoor Recreation Policy Committee, called the fourteenth meeting to order at 2:51 P.M. on Wednesday, March 4 2015, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hackbarth called the meeting to order at 2:51 P.M. A quorum was present.
Representative Cornish moved to approve the minutes of March 3, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
H.F.1182 Anderson, S., Requiring applications for hunting and fishing licenses to allow applicant to be an organ donor and make cash contributions for public education regarding anatomical gifts; requiring report; amending Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 171.075, subdivision 1; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 97A.
Representative Hackbarth moved that bill H.F.1182 be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Policy & Finance.
Representative Anderson, S. and Susan Mau Larson, Director of Public Affairs for LifeSource, testified on H.F.1182 and took questions from committee members.
Bob Meier, Assistant Commissioner of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, also testified on H.F.1182 and took questions from committee members.
Representative Hackbarth renewed the motion to re-refer H.F.1182 to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Policy & Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
H.F.0416 Anzelc, Reinstating the tax incentive for direct reduced iron; amending Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 298.24, subdivision 1.
Representative Anzelc moved that bill H.F.416 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.
Representative Anzelc moved the A15-0112 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Anzelc moved the A15-0086 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Anzelc presented an overview of H.F.416, as amended, and took questions from committee members.
Craig Pagel, Executive Director of Iron Mining Association of Minnesota, testified on H.F.416.
Representative Anzelc renewed the motion to re-refer H.F.416 to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
