MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Tax Committee, began the meeting at 10:15 on January 22nd, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids began the meeting at 10:15. A quorum was NOT present.

A quorum was present at 10:19 and the meeting was called to order.

Representative Swedzinski moved that the minutes of January 21st, 2015 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Dr. Laura Kalambokidis of the Minnesota Management & Budget Office presented on revenue volatility.

Representative Davids moved that HF62 come before the committee.

HF62 Anderson, S.: Research credit extended to sole proprietors.

Representative Anderson, Scott Schmidt of Black Line Group, and Mark Gross of Formacoat, testified on HF62, first engrossment.

Representative Davids moved that HF62 was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Davids moved that HF61 come before the committee.
Representative Davids moved that HF258 come before the committee.

HF61 Anderson, S.: Research Credit limited refundability provided.
HF258 Peterson, R.: Research Credit limited refundability provided and credit rate increased.

Representative Anderson, Representative Peterson, Scott Schmidt of Black Line Group, Beth Kadoun of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Genevieve Plumadore of LifeScience Alley, John Dukich of the Minnesota High Tech Association, testified on HF61 and HF258, first engrossments.

Representative Anderson moved that HF61 was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Davids moved that HF258 was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Meeting adjourned at 11:40.
