Representative Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:05 P.M. on February 2nd, 2017, in Room Five of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Poston moved that the minutes of February 1st, 2017 be adopted. THE MO-TION PREVAILED.
Tom Melcher, Director of the Program Finance Division of the Minnesota Department of Educa-tion completed the Special Education Overview.
Minnesota Department of Education completed the department’s Budget Overview. Minnesota Department of Education presenters for the overview were Charlene Briner, Deputy Commis-sioner and Adosh Unni, Director of Government Relations.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:46 P.M.
