MINUTES


Representative Schomacker, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, started the meeting at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Claire Wilson, Assistant Commissioner of Community Supports at the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), provided an overview of the 2016 Final Report of the Governor’s Task Force on Mental Health.

A quorum was present at 8:35 a.m. Representative Schomacker officially called the meeting to order at 8:46 a.m.

Representative Kresha moved to approve the minutes from January 12, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Schomacker opened the meeting to public testimony about the task force report.

Catherine Dalnes, Manager of School Social Work Services, Minneapolis School District;
Steven Wickelgren, MA, LMFT, Clinical Director, Minnesota Crisis Intervention Team
(CIT) Officers’ Association;
Shannah Mulvihill, Executive Director, Mental Health Minnesota;
Mary Vukelich, law enforcement instructor;
Melinda Shamp, Wellness in the Woods.





The meeting was adjourned at 9:52 a.m.
