Representative Nornes, Chair of the Higher Education and Career Readiness Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:05 PM on March 20, 2018 in Hearing Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Representative Albright moved the minutes of March 14, 2018 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1524 (Sundin) University of Minnesota Board of Regents member election process modified, recommendations by congressional district legislative delegation provided, and weighted election of candidates provided.
Representative Nornes moved that HF1524 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill, or further consideration at a later time.
Representative Sundin testified on HF1524.

HF3877 (Schultz) University of Minnesota Board of Regents election process modified.
Representative Nornes moved that HF3877 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill, or further consideration at a later time.
Representative Schultz moved the H3877DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
