MINUTES

Representative Torkelson, Chair of the Transportation Finance Committee, started the thirty sixth meeting at 1:04 P.M. on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018, in the Basement Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Torkelson officially called the meeting to order at 1:07 PM. A quorum was present.

Representative Torkelson moved that HF 2624 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion.

HF 2624 (Daniels) - Rice County; I-35 and County Road 9 interchange feasibility study funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Torkelson renewed his motion for HF 2624 be laid over for possible inclusion. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Johnson moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 20th, 2018 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Runbeck moved that HF 3346 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion.





HF 3346 (Runbeck) - Loan conversion and lien release requirements established for a transportation department contract.

Representative Runbeck renewed her motion for HF 3346 to be laid over for possible inclusion. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Torkelson moved that HF 3174 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Torkelson moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 3174 (Knoblach) - St. Michael and St. Cloud; feasibility study for expanding or reconstructing I-94 funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Torkelson renewed his motion that HF 3174, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Bernardy moved that HF 3866 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Torkelson moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Torkelson moved that HF 3776 come before the committee and be re-referred to the committee on Taxes.

Representative Torkelson moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Torkelson offered the following oral amendment: Page 3, line 28, delete “Department of” and insert “area specified in section 473f.02, subdivision 2,” Page 3, delete line 29. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 3776 (Loon) - Metropolitan congestion management component of the corridors of commerce program created, metropolitan fiscal disparities program reformed, and payments to the trunk highway fund provided.
