HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NINETY-FIRST SESSION

COMMERCE COMMITTEE

Representative Laurie Halverson, Chair of the Commerce Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 4:16 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2020. pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Stephenson moved to approve the minutes from the committee meeting on April 27th, 2020. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Mark Schiller, president of the Minnesota Distiller’s Guild, spoke regarding issues concerning distilleries.

SF2130 (Halverson); Metropolitan Airports Commission allowed to set on-sale hours in security areas of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, accounting adjustment provided, and various local licenses authorized.

Representative Halverson moved SF2130 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Halverson moved the S2130DE2 (Halverson) amendment.

Representative Theis offered the S2310A19 (Theis) amendment to S2130DE2. THE AMEDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Halverson renewed the motion to adopt the S2130DE2 (Halverson) amendment, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED, WAS ADOPTED.
