MINUTES

Representative Winkler, Chair of the Rules and Legislative Administration Committee, called the remote meeting to order at 2:30 P.M on Wednesday, April 1 2020, pursuant to House rule 10.01.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Winkler called the meeting at 2:30 P.M. A quorum was present.

Barry LaGrave, Director of Non- Partisan Public Information Services, presented on the remote rearing process.

Matt Ehling member of the public from the Minnesota Coalition on Government Information, testified in support of the remote hearing process.

Representative Her moved that the minutes of Tuesday, March 10, 2020 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Her moved to adopt the 2020-R20 Emergency Telecommuting Policy and the 2020-R21, Emergency Sick Leave During Widespread Illness Policy. Kelly Knight, Director of Human Resources of the Minnesota House of Representatives Human Services Department, testified on the policies. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Kelly Knight, Director of Human Resources of the Minnesota House of Representatives Human Services Department presented on a recent law change (federal) that relates to the emergency sick leave policy for staff and members at the Minnesota House of Representatives. No action was needed from the committee on this information.



The meeting was adjourned at 2:57 P.M.
